In the case of Tara and Dylan, my journey with this wonderful family began five years ago when I had the privilege of photographing Dylan's sister's family – one of my very first photo shoots upon arriving to Napa Valley. It's incredibly gratifying to see that the warmth and connection established during that first shoot not only endured but flourished. When Dylan and Tara reached out for their wedding photography, I felt like I was being welcomed back into a familiar embrace, an extension of a photographic family tree that had taken root years ago. Stepping into their wedding day felt like reuniting with old friends, even though our connection had been built over phone calls and the passage of time. There was a unique sense of familiarity and an atmosphere that felt like home.
To Dylan's sister and her family, and now to Tara and Dylan – thank you for not only inviting me to capture your special memories but for extending this invitation to those closest to you.
